Our Team, Our Story

Our students undertook an enriching interdisciplinary project titled “Historical Landmarks of Kolkata,” aimed at helping them explore, appreciate, and preserve the city’s cultural heritage. The project began with a heritage walk in which students, accompanied by their parents, visited significant historical sites, closely observing architectural details and learning the stories that shape Kolkata’s identity. To enhance engagement, they participated in photography and art competitions, creatively capturing the essence of monuments. The project also included visits to iconic eateries and a museum, giving students firsthand exposure to Kolkata’s rich culinary and cultural traditions. Students created short video essays on selected landmarks, demonstrating their research and communication skills, and performed a street play to emphasize the importance of conserving heritage spaces. A visit to the Calcutta High Court helped them understand its historic architecture and role in the city’s governance. As an act of civic responsibility, they took part in a ghat-cleaning activity and expressed their ideas through slogan-writing sessions on heritage preservation. Overall, the project provided a holistic learning experience by blending history, art, civic awareness, and community participation.

THE TEAM

This project was collaboratively developed by a dedicated team of students who contributed through research, content development, design, and technical implementation. Through collective effort and coordination, the team aimed to present Kolkata’s historical heritage in an informative and engaging manner while promoting learning, creativity, and teamwork.
